Crystal House | Residential
Set within the quiet coastal village of Pearl Beach, Crystal House is a refined holiday residence shaped by landscape, light and low-maintenance coastal living.
Originally designed by Fabric Architecture Studio and now part of the Fabric Studio portfolio, the home reflects a considered response to its relaxed Central Coast setting. Rather than competing with the surrounding bushland, the architecture adopts a restrained pavilion form that sits calmly within the site, opening the house to natural light, outlook and the everyday rhythms of beachside life.
The design balances luxury with simplicity. Generous, airy living spaces connect naturally to outdoor terraces and covered balconies, creating a strong relationship between inside and out. The planning supports the ease expected of a holiday home while maintaining the quality, detail and permanence of a carefully resolved residence.
Materiality is central to the character of Crystal House. Natural finishes, refined detailing and warm timber-toned screening soften the building’s contemporary form and help frame the home within its coastal context. Spotted Gum battens and pergola elements introduce rhythm, shade and depth, while the open pavilion structure gives the house a sense of lightness against the surrounding landscape.
Completed in 2023 with Mennie Builders, Crystal House demonstrates the value of clear architectural intent and collaborative delivery. Every element is composed to feel relaxed but purposeful, from the shaded outdoor spaces to the way the home captures breezes, views and filtered light.
Crystal House is a coastal retreat designed not only for escape, but for connection. To family, landscape and the slower rituals of life by the beach.
