Bateau Bay Hotel | Hospitality - Gaming

The Bateau Bay Hotel gaming room was designed as a premium hospitality environment that elevates the traditional gaming experience through detail, materiality and atmosphere.

Fabric Studio’s approach focused on creating a darker, more immersive interior that feels refined, comfortable and highly considered. Rather than relying on standard gaming room finishes, the design uses layered architectural elements, custom joinery, integrated lighting and tactile surfaces to create a space with warmth, depth and a strong sense of identity.

A series of custom backlit onyx ceiling features introduce a soft glow overhead, bringing a sense of luxury and visual rhythm to the room. These are paired with Rimex metal finishes, brass-toned detailing and illuminated gaming screens to create a polished, high-performance hospitality interior. Instead of plasterboard walls, Fabric Studio opted for 2-pac painted timber panelling in a gloss finish, adding durability, richness and a more crafted architectural quality to the space.

The custom carpet, designed by Fabric Studio in collaboration with Signature Flooring, anchors the room with a layered botanical pattern that introduces movement, colour and softness underfoot. The palette of deep greens, warm metallics, soft upholstery and glowing feature lighting creates a balanced environment that is both energetic and comfortable.

The result is a gaming room that feels integrated into the broader Bateau Bay Hotel renovation while offering its own distinct experience. For Fabric Studio, the project reflects our hospitality-led approach to gaming room design, pub interiors and hotel refurbishment, creating commercially focused spaces that improve patron comfort, support venue operations and elevate the customer experience.
